POLICIES
These terms and conditions apply to IFTF Foresight Essentials trainings provided by Institute for the Future (“IFTF”) to the registered attendee (“you”).
Payment.
Due to the limited number of enrollments permitted for each training, registration is only guaranteed upon receipt of payment. Travel and accommodations to the training location are not included in the fee.
Refunds and Credits.
IFTF understands that plans and schedules may change. If you wish to cancel your enrollment in a training, you may request for a full refund or credit by emailing register@iftf.org forty-five (45) calendar days or more prior to the Training Date. A refund will be issued in the same manner payment was received. A credit may be used towards an upcoming Foresight Essentials training that will take place within one (1) calendar year of the original session for which you registered, pending availability. You must notify IFTF of the new desired Training session within fourteen (14) calendar days of cancellation. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received with less than forty-five (45) calendar days written notice.
Transfer Policy.
If you have registered and paid for a Training, but can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to a colleague working for the same organization for the same Training on the same dates. If you wish to transfer your registration to another individual, any applicable discounts (non-profit, educational, government, early-bird, etc.) may be voided and additional fees may apply. To request a transfer, email register@iftf.org forty-five (45) calendar days or more prior to the Training Date. IFTF cannot guarantee transfer requests received with less than a forty-five (45) calendar day notice.
Non-Participation.
IFTF will not issue any refunds, credits, or transfers if you are absent from the Training. For virtual trainings, you are encouraged to conduct a technical and sound check prior to the scheduled start time of the Training. IFTF is not responsible for your inability to participate due to technical issues beyond our control. Attendance at all scheduled meeting dates and times is required in order to receive your Certificate of Completion. If you have a scheduling conflict, please contact the course instructors or email register@iftf.org immediately.
Cancellation by IFTF.
IFTF reserves the right to cancel any training without cause. In the event of a cancellation by IFTF, you have the right to either transfer your registration to an upcoming Training at no additional cost, or receive a refund of any fees or payments you paid. You shall not be entitled to any relief due to or arising from such cancellation.
Force Majeure.
IFTF shall not be responsible for, and you hereby waive all claims for, any losses, liabilities, damages, expenses, fees, or costs arising from or caused, in whole or in part, by delay or failure of performance due to any of the following: fire or other casualty; labor dispute; government or military action; terrorism; transportation delay; inclement weather; Act of God; epidemics, pandemics, or contagious diseases (e.g., the 2020 outbreak of the Coronavirus); act or omission of Company or its contractors; or any other cause beyond IFTF’s reasonable control (each and collectively referred to as a “Force Majeure Event”). IFTF will make a good faith effort to make fair accommodations to you due to any Force Majeure Event.
