Information Ecosystems for Well-being: A Map
Information Ecosystems for Well-being: A Map
The Information Ecosystems for Well-being (PDF) map offers a view of information ecosystems in flux. It shows how innovators will make data and information more usable as resources to support well-being through:
- Automated and predictive systems—Data mining and analytics will fuel creation of information systems that can anticipate problems and intervene automatically to bring the right story to the right person at the right time.
- Amplified roles and interactions—Abundant data and the new interventions it brings will disrupt today’s roles and infrastructures to make us all partners in the project of being well.
- High-resolution views and interventions—The way we understand who we are and what it means to be healthy and happy will be transformed by abundant data.
The map is a tool for understanding signals of change in today’s world, identifying technological enablers of data and innovation, and recognizing how these coming changes are grounded in the settings of our everyday lives.
