Who We Are
Milicent Johnson
2016 IFTF Fellow
Manager, SF Gives at Tipping Point Community
Milicent has built her career on brokering partnerships between corporations, community leaders, and public officials to the benefit of underserved and underrepresented communities. Currently she manages SF Gives at Tipping Point, a $10M corporate challenge that is bringing together local businesses to fight poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior to joining Tipping Point, she worked at the forefront of the sharing economy movement at peers.org and Shareable Magazine, and co-founded a coalition of sharing economy companies called BayShare. Before that, Milicent was the Community Reinvestment fellow at the Greenlining Institute, worked in the Massachusetts legislature, and taught financial literacy in Boston. When not exploring how to build community around issues she is passionate about, she can be found throwing dinner parties, at Oakland's Art Murmur, or playing croquet in Golden Gate Park.
