"Wilson Quarterly on ""Reading the Future"""
The Winter 2006 Wilson Quarterly is devoted to "reading the future," and has some very good pieces on a variety of subjects-- attitudes toward the future, globalization and hatred, the future of terrorism, demographics, life extension-- just the kind of thing Ten Year Forecast readers would be interested in.
Some articles are the kinds of things you can fruitfully disagree with: I found myself alternately thinking Nicholas Eberstadt's piece on the myths of the population bomb was really smart, and going off the rails-- then wondering if I was agreeing with the right things. Others are more whimsical: Laura Kipnis envisions a world in which love reigns supreme, thanks to constant pharmaceutical intervention.
The articles aren't available online, so head for your favorite bookstore.
