President Obama's Inauguration: CNN, iReport.com, & Photosynth

 

CNN has teamed up with iReport.com to create an interactive map with stories from and photos from people at the inauguration in DC. It's not the fanciest thing ever, but it is an interesting glimpse at the inauguration from inside the crowd. The map is available here: www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2009/44.president/inauguration/map/

 

CNN has also teamed up with Microsoft to use Photosynth with photos submitted from the crowd. It layers photos of the same thing from different angles to create a wider collective image of the event that you can then navigate by zooming and rotating.
