Player Request for Information Sources...
Nicole Mathison in London has been in touch with me a few times, and recently held a Geek Girl Dinner with a Superstruct Focus. She's planning on some more brainstorming sessions, and has been asked to work with some other groups already. She's focusing on getting people thinking about the probable state of each of the world's regions in 2019, based on the Superthreat videos and scenario information. The idea is that this will then inform the Superstructures participants come up with, and feed into the authenticity of their personal stories.
I asked if there was any further info I could try and find out for her, and she came back with the following:
"Only thing I'd *love* would be good per capita data on estimated
energy/water/food consumption by either country/region (UN reports I'd
found didn't allow me to do cross-referencing in a meaningful way) or
otherwise a way to access real estimates for around the 2019 time and
be able to visually map it, perhaps there are data tables I just don't
know about - and perhaps I need to look at this is part of the Bar Camp
Berlin session, getting an online map up to visualise our future world?
Anyway, does the IFTF have such data or are there existing resources
about? If not, it's fine, I'll not worry too much about the mapping and
just have everyone continue to focus on brainstorming solutions etc,"
Is anyone able to help with some good info? If so I'll pass it on, if not I'll let her know...
Thanks!
