Others are talking about Health 2.0
Healthline's Tech Medicine blogger Joshua Schwimmer, M.D. posted a copy of his recent speech about Health 2.0 from a practicing physician's point-of-view. His description of "user generated healthcare" should sound familiar:
In Health 2.0 communities, the content and value is not generated by outside experts, but by the users themselves, by healthcare providers and patients, who interact to share information and insights. These online communities . . . all have a couple of things in common: they're all public, collaborative, and simple to use. And this combination can be very powerful and disruptive.
Schwimmer's post also links to a September 6th article in The Economist on Health 2.0.
