Mobile Auctions in Japan

Gen Kanai - former Sony guy, and now working with a couple of Japanese net startups - has a great post on his blog about a conversation he had with a market analyst the other day on mobile auctions.

 

It's mostly a run-down of the players and recent developments, but there are some interesting observations in there about mobile commerce - for instance... "the always-on, always nearby nature of mobile phones make them a perfect tool for auctions- both for those who are selling and those who are buying."

 

Auctions are sort of a pervasive game aren't they?
