IFTF and Wonder Women Tech invite you to join us on March 1, 5:00-7:30pm, in a thoughtful, solution-oriented discussion about how to increase diversity and inclusion in technology over the next decade. IFTF's own Eri Gentry moderates a fantastic panel of experts who work to elevate women and diversity in tech. 

This conversation features Lisa Mae Brunson, founder of Wonder Women Tech, along with Dominique Brassey, VP of Growth for Lesbians Who Tech, Elisa Camahort Page, Entrepreneurial Instigator and BlogHer Co-founder, and IFTF Executive Director, Marina Gorbis. Why this topic at this time?

While President Trump’s comments about women, people of color, and people with disabilities during the campaign concerned many, few can anticipate the implications these comments will or will not have on the policy and social landscapes.

Although it’s hard to identify a positive outcome in light of the opinions expressed by the President as a candidate, perhaps the uncertainty provides an opportunity to engage in thoughtful, solution-oriented discussions about how to increase diversity and inclusivity in technology over the next decade. After all, some might argue tech companies have yet to demonstrate sufficient progress in diversifying their leadership and workforce.

What can we do in a landscape in which the funding, and maybe even the policies, may be changing? What are the local solutions we need to build today to defend Silicon Valley’s values of diversity and inclusion, and how do we continue to hold companies accountable to hire women and promote diversity?
