Future Now
The IFTF Blog
Join us on October 21-22 for the New Body Language
Wearable. Implantable. Outrageously connected. In a world where we’re infusing connective computing power into anything, when and where will we want to keep it close to us—on or even under our skin? Our experience of personal technologies is undergoing a phase shift as the human body becomes the new frontier of technology adoption. As we begin placing computing power in, on, and around the body, it will transform how we work, connect, experience fun and even shape our own sense of identity.
On October 21-22, IFTF’s Technology Horizons Program will host its fall conference—The New Body Language: the Future of Wearables, Wireless, and Body Area Networks. The event will feature deep dives into entertainment, work, fashion and other topics, and leading speakers including:
- Billie Whitehouse, Founder of Wearable Experiments
- Golden Krishna, Author, The Best Interface is No Interface
- Rachel Hinman, Author, The Mobile Frontier: The Guide For Designing Mobile Experiences
With a deep focus on exploring the user adoption demands that will shape the future of body area networks, participants will leave the event with an understanding of the technical possibilities and deep insight about how to use these technologies to design solutions that meet user needs.
