IFTF Researcher Testifies at Senate Hearing on Research Parks and Job Creation

Last week, IFTF Research Director Anthony Townsend, traveled to Washington to testify at a hearing of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee on "Research Parks and Job Creation." He shared some highlights from the recent forecast IFTF developed with the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, "Future Knowledge Ecosystems: The Next Twenty Years of Technology-Led Economic Development" (pdf), and it's implications for S.583, The Building A Stronger America Act, which seeks to make up to $100 million in grants and loan guarantees available over the next five years for science park construction and expansion.
