Apr 27 at IFTF: Actionable Matter - CCA Student Showcase
Join us April 27 from 1:30-3pm to celebrate and explore a variety of projects undertaken in the ACTIONABLE MATTER class at California College of the Arts in a hands-on setting. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with the student designers, learn from their design stories and products on show, and experience the prototypes.
At Institute for the Future, we believe that designers are futurists. That’s why IFTF’s Technology Futures Lab partnered with the Graduate Design department at California College of the Arts to support the class ACTIONABLE MATTER: technologies taking action on and in our world. Students integrated interaction design, graphic design, industrial design and marketing/branding to develop prototypes and solutions for the coming technology landscape.
The Internet is on the brink of a massive transformation. Networking has spread a layer of API atop much of our reality, and ambient intelligence will soon be imbued into every object and space. As our world becomes increasingly permeated by machine intelligence, the objects we use and the spaces we inhabit will become as anticipatory and tailored as our entertainment, news, and communication are currently becoming.
