Steve Milovich
President, Milovich Partners
Steve is an accomplished senior human resources executive with a track record of improving business results in diverse industries and business environments – including highly regarded blue chip companies, startups, and a turnaround. He held executive positions with The Walt Disney Company, PepsiCo, Walker Digital, and Honeywell, among others.
His areas of expertise include global human resources strategy, employee digital media, change management, organization development, executive development and coaching, and talent acquisition. He is highly effective at working with senior executives, providing them with both creative and practical solutions to the strategic organization and human resource challenges facing their organizations. He has served as a coach and mentor to numerous executives in the U.S, Asia and Europe.
Steve is currently President of Milovich Partners, a strategic human resources and leadership development company with expertise in human resources strategy development, leading change, executive coaching, talent development and acquisition, and workforce of the future services. Milovich Partners' overarching focus is to build clients' capability to navigate and lead in the VUCA world – a world increasingly characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
Prior to starting Milovich Partners, Steve held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, Talent and Workforce Diversity for The Walt Disney Company’s Disney | ABC Television Group. He lead all aspects of human resources and executive compensation for the ABC Television Network and ABC Studio, Disney Channels Worldwide, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, Radio Disney, Disney Television Animation, Disney/ABC Domestic Television, Disney/ABC/ESPN international distribution, and ABC's eight owned television stations. Steve also served as a strategic advisor on all organization, executive compensation and HR matters for the division’s joint ventures with A+E Networks and Hulu.
Steve also was the founding leader of The Walt Disney Company’s employee digital and social media group, which drove the development of digital and social media products and tools to increase the engagement, collaboration, and connectedness of employees.
He began his career with The Walt Disney Company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Human Resources, Organization and Leadership Development. In this role, Steve had global responsibility for learning, leadership development, organization development, talent planning, employee communications, talent acquisition and The Disney University. He also had overall HR responsibility for Corporate Headquarters, The Walt Disney Internet Group and The Media Technology Board.
Prior to The Walt Disney Company, Steve held executive human resources positions at PepsiCo, Walker Digital (which developed Priceline.com), AlliedSignal/Honeywell and Broadway Stores. He began his career at United States Steel Corporation, holding management positions in employee and labor relations.
Throughout his career, Steve has developed and conducted a variety of organization and executive development workshops. He currently serves as coach, advisor, and mentor to executives, helping them improve both their personal and their organization's effectiveness.
He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Institute of the Future in Palo Alto, Calif. Steve also sits on the Corporate Advisory Boards of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and the USC Center for Effective Organizations. He is also a member of the National Advisory Board for the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.
Steve earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Utah State University and holds an executive MBA from Pepperdine University. He also holds coaching certifications from both The Hudson Institute and The International Coaching Federation (ICF).
