Join the #My2024 Inspiration Team to Imagine LGBTQ Futures!
IFTF is looking for LGBTQ volunteers to help us inspire and provoke responses for upcoming My2024 online event to imagine our lives as LGBTQ people in ten years!
We need you to record a very short, 30-45 second, "IN 2024 I WILL BE FREE TO ..." video that we can use to bring excitement and inspiration to the important event that will create dialogue and imagination about LGBTQ futures.
What are we looking for?
Ideally the answers we collect will have broad and diverse perspectives from the LGBTQ community about life in 2024 to help provoke thoughtful responses. I shared my video above as an example of what we hope to get with your submission.
Are you in?
Here’s how to submit your video:
Write out the question "IN 2024 I WILL BE FREE TO ..." or "IN 2024 WE WILL TAKE ACTION TO ..." on a big card, chalkboard, or anything that shows the question and your answer. My script for the video is about 110 words, and you could go a bit shorter or longer.
Read it aloud.
You can have a visual example like me (Jason) OR not. Just talk about your vision of the future.

About My2024
On October 7-16, IFTF is teaming up with the Arcus Foundation and partners from across the United States like GLAAD, The Trevor Project, and The Transgender Law Center for My2024, an online event to imagine our lives as LGBTQ people in ten years.
We will tap the passion and wisdom of our national LGBTQ community leaders, social entrepreneurs, change-makers, and citizens to contribute to the My2024 Declaration—a call-to-action for the next decade of the LGBTQ movement.
We know that online social platforms and games are powerful tools for breaking through the limits of our thinking. They also use collaboration and competition to build cooperation. By bringing together as many of our voices and perspectives as possible, we can think beyond the prevailing LGBTQ agenda of today. And by bringing YOUR ideas to the conversation you are providing inspiration and a pathway to real change.
