IFTF Researcher Testifies at Senate Hearing on Research Parks and Job Creation
Yesterday, I traveled to Washington to testify at a hearing of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee on "Research Parks and Job Creation". I shared some highlights from the recent forecast IFTF developed with the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, "Future Knowledge Ecosystems: The Next Twenty Years of Technology-Led Economic Development" (pdf), and it's implications for S.583, The Building A Stronger America Act, which seeks to make up to $100 million in grants and loan guarantees available over the next five years for science park construction and expansion.
