IFTF announces new FutureCast series...starting November 20
IFTF is happy to announce that we will be introducing a new FutureCast podcast series, starting Friday, November 20, at 11 am Pacific Time. Our first podcast will be hosted by Jerry Michalski, and our guest expert will be Arthur Brock of The Metacurrency Project.
The Metacurrency Project seeks to build platform and protocol standards that will allow multiple and interoperable currencies on the Internet. It is the brainchild of Brock (formerly of OS-Earth) and Eric Harris-Braun (of Open Money). In a nutshell, the project is an attempt to create the infrastructure for managing open currency transactions without the need for banks and other financial institutions as mediators.
The conversation will be conducted over Skype, and you can join via Skype by connecting to "sociate". It will be a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in future economic and financial trends—as well as the open economy—to explore the practical side of some cutting edge ideas.
The FutureCast series is a new way to track some of IFTF's research-in-progress and join the behind-the-scenes conversations that help shape our forecasts in global trends, technology, innovation, health, and sustainability. These open conversations will be recorded and made available as podcasts on the Future Now blog.
Please join us on Friday, November 20, at 11 am Pacific Time for this inaugural conversation.
