The New Story: Cooperation, complex interdependencies, and collective action are crucial. Competition still exists, but it's not the alpha and omega.
This isn't something you just see in business, or with open source: the centrality of cooperation is visible in biology, game theory, sociology, anthropology, and other fields.
"New forms of cooperation create new forms of wealth." You see this with eBay, Amazon, Innocentive, IBMs embrace of Linux, Toyota's willingness to train suppliers (even though they could take their training to the competition)....
