FutureCast: open-source hardware and MAKE-ing the future
Institute for the Future is very proud to announce Phillip Torrone, senior editor of MAKE magazine, as our guest for the 3rd installment of our FutureCast series.
Please join Jerry Mchalski in a one hour conversation with Torrone as they discuss topics such as open-source hardware, new hacker-spaces opening up, and the Fabber and Maker movements as they continue to develop in the coming years.

Phillip Torrone is the senior editor of MAKE magazine. Torrone has authored and contributed to numerous books on programming, design, hardware hacking and is a contributing editor for Popular Science. Phillip also co-produces the MAKE video content on the Makezine.com site. In his spare time he helps design open source electronics and runs a laser etching business as the creative director for Adafruit Industries in New York City, New York.
