Given $50,000 what would you explore?
Marina Gorbis helps National Geographic find the next great explorer
Always wanted to explore uncharted territory, forge a new path, or show the world something it has never seen before?
Exploration isn’t just for mountain climbers and photographers. The explorers of the 21st Century are musicians and makers, techies and tinkerers, the curious and the courageous—and that means you.
For IFTF's Marina Gorbis, "exploration is a continuous process. It really is what makes us human." It's part of being a futures thinker: charting the unknown to better understand the things around us, the ways we relate to each other, and the full range of possibilities.
Now Marina joins National Geographic’s search to find the next generation of explorers in its new $50,000 Expedition Granted competition. As a member of the Expedition Granted Advisory Council, Marina joins Wylie Dufresne, Sir Bertrand Piccard, Anissa G. Ramirez, and others who have all broken ground in their own fields to help find truly game-changing exploration ideas.
